The Best Part About Being A Mom

posted in: Parent Talk | 8
What is the best part of being a mom? I asked that question to a group of women and the answers that I was given were so sweet! Being a mother is hard work but I think we can all agree that it is completely worth it!
Here are those wonderfully, sweet responses from the amazing mothers who took some time to answer my question.
  • The best part of being a mom is knowing that your child loves you more than anything in the world, that your baby depends on you and you are their favorite thing.
  • That you get to teach then about life and help then create their personality.
  •  I think that the best part of being a mom is when you are at your worst, feeling awful and down, and your child looks at you and smiles. It makes your whole world turn around and makes your heart smile and feel like everything is the way it should be and everything is going to be ok when you have that baby in your arms.
  • The best part would be looking at a mini version of yourself knowing that you made that. That this little baby depends fully on you and that they just smile so big when they see you.
  • The fullness of your heart when they just sit and lay on you and hold your hand or finger.
  • The hugs, kisses and the smiles. Knowing that this little person loves you beyond the expression of words.
  • Growing as a more selfless and loving person myself, he made my guarded previously damaged heart grow and heal.
  • EVERYTHING; especially hugs, kisses and cuddles.
  • When you’re stressed out beyond compare. Nothing has gone right. You’re sitting on the steps crying because you just don’t think you can do it and your toddler comes and sits on your lap, takes your face in her hands, and gives you the nastiest, sloppiest kiss on the mouth and tells you she loves you.
  • My favorite things about being a mommy is watching my baby develop her own little quirky personality.
  • The best part of being a mom is learning what unconditional love for someone feels like. I look at my daughter and my heart is full of joy and love, and I know that if/when we add to our little family, my heart will just hold more of that beautiful love that I didn’t think I could have so much of. It’s amazing how one tiny little person can have such a huge impact on how you see things.
  • The best part about being a mom is having a life long best friends!
  • Having every wish, that I didn’t even know I had, come true.
  • Seeing how excited your baby gets after learning something new. There’s nothing like the innocence of a child.
  • Hearing I love you and knowing that they truly mean it.
  • They are my loves! They see no wrong in anything I do, even on my worst days when I feel down and like everything I’ve done is wrong. I get hugs and kisses from them and know I’ve done something right. Words can’t describe it.

Don’t these all make you warm and fuzzy inside? So sweet!
Now go hug your kiddos and give them lots of sloppy kisses and hugs, you know you want to!

What a wonderful uplifting post. My children are all grown and have families of their own. Now we enjoy the grandparenting love.
